Joseph Alonzo ""Al"" Doucet, 89, of Inverness, Fla., passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at his residence in Inverness. He was born May 16, 1924, in Notre Dame, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Charles and Annie (Melanson) Doucet. Al was a WWII, Canadian Navy veteran, and became a U.S. citizen while residing in Miami. He enjoyed golfing and watching sports.
He was preceded in death by his wife Claire in 2012. Survivors include two step-sons, William Antonen of Inverness and Edwin Antonen of Miami; one brother, Leonard; two sisters, Mary and Rita; and two step-grandchildren, Jessica and Kirsten.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus County, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
