Richard Bosco Roland, 81, of Homosassa, Fla., passed away Nov. 14, 2013, under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Born Sept. 28, 1932, in Bronx, N.Y., to Frederick and Margueritte (Petit) Roland. Bosco moved to Citrus County in 1995 from Troy, Mo. Bosco, U.S. Navy Veteran, retired, 30 years, was a recipient of the Purple Heart medal.
Survived by his wife, Leonora Roland; two sisters, Irene Kavanaugh and Virginia Tambasco; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto. Graveside services will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
