Ronald W. Davis, 76, of Beverly Hills, Fla., died Monday, March 4, 2013, after a long illness. Ronald was born April 14, 1936, in Waltham, Mass., son of Charles and Rita Davis. He was a professional firefighter for the Framingham Fire Department and served in the Massachusetts National Guard. Ron moved to Citrus Hills in 1992 from Framingham, Mass., and then to Laurel Ridge in Beverly Hills in 2000. He was a past president of the American Irish Club in Lecanto, a member of the West Citrus Elks, and the St. Scholastica Knights of Columbus. Ron was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was an avid golfer. Ron loved all Boston sporting teams, especially the Red Sox.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy; brothers, Ralph Butler and Charles Davis, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Mary and Kelsey. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Davis of Laurel Ridge, Beverly Hills; sons, Mark Davis and wife, Charlene of Framingham, Mass., Christopher Davis and wife, Donna of Londonderry, N.H., and Richard Davis of Framingham, Mass.; daughter-in-law, Michele Davis of Shrewsbury, Mass.; sisters, Betty Ann Giusti and husband John of Hudson, Mass., Janice Laffin of Framingham, Mass., Judy Sumner and husband Kenneth of Waltham, Mass., and Linda Frost and husband Donald of Waltham, Mass.; brothers, Jack Davis and wife, Jane of Waltham, Mass., and Robert Butler and wife, Maureen of Marlborough, Mass.; sister-in-law, Mary Davis of Marlborough, Mass.; grandchildren, Michael and his wife Jennifer, Sean, Brianna, Caitlin, Jaclyn, Ryan, Kiley, Kathryn, Emily and Jack; and many nieces and nephews
The family of Mr. Davis will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Heinz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013m at St. Scholastica Catholic Church. Father Michael Smith will preside. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the St. Scholastica Catholic Church or the American Irish Club of Lecanto.
