The life of this generous man who unselfishly gave to others began in Crystal River, Florida, Nov. 10, 1962. Tim was born to Betty Rooks Brown, a retired school teacher, and the late Honorable Ralph F. Rooks, who served as a Citrus County commissioner and a real estate broker. He grew up with two sisters, Deena and Terry, and three brothers, Mike, Alan, and Todd. Tim attended Crystal River High School and the University of Florida and worked at Macy's, where he met friends who became a part of his family for life.
Surrounded by his sisters and closest friends, Tim passed away April 25, 2014, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. His friends and family have found peace in knowing that Tim continues living through others as an organ donor.
In lieu of flowers, please consider giving the gift of life by donating to Life Quest or registering as an organ donor at: www.donatelife.org.
