William T Spiddle Obituary
William T Spiddle, age 86, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away August 22, 2014, at Cedar Creek under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born on June 19, 1928, in Syracuse, New York to William I and Bridget M (Dromgoole) Spiddle. William moved to Citrus County 29 years ago from Syracuse, New York. He was a retired System Tech for AT&T Telephone, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Council 14485. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Spiddle and his sister, Joan Molta.
Survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan L. Spiddle; five children, Kevin and Linda Spiddle, Katherine and Jerry Emrick, Maureen Kananen, John Spiddle, Brian and Sheila Spiddle; four sisters, Kathleen Naughton, Margie and Dave McKeon, Ann Folger and Eileen Sheehan; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto. Mass will be offered at 11a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at the St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto followed by a luncheon at the Father James Hoge Hall. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in William's memory can be made to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
