Alan Kennedy Obituary
He is survived by daughter Cherie, son Joshua, grandson Carmelo, granddaughter Sia Ramona, daughter-in-law Sabrina, mother Ramona, brothers Scott and Ted, and many more loving family members and friends.
Born in Macclenney, Florida, on Nov. 13, 1959, he moved to Crystal River with his family when he was 9. He made Crystal River his permanent home out of a zest for life on the water and, mostly, out of commitment to family, and he had just retired as a senior nuclear operator instructor at Duke Energy. He was, proudly, a small-town guy dedicated to those he loved and who loved him. Many know him as a teacher, a fun-loving patriarch, and a strong and dependable force for all who needed him.
This Monday, at 1 p.m., we're celebrating his awesome, exceptional life at Crystal River Church of God, 2180 NW 12th Ave. Interment to follow at Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa. Please come and join us. In lieu of flowers, please donate to HPH Hospice, www.hph-hospice.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.

Alan. Kennedy was the salt of the earth. He had a unique ability to communicate very complex principles so even I could understand it, His deep voice, twinkle in his eye and perk in his step will forever bless the so many lives he touched. Alan was a pleasure to work with and a very talented instructor at the Nuclear plant. It is truly a shame he was not able to enjoy a lengthy retirement. We extend well wishes to those close to him.

So sorry about Alan's passing. I never met him but heard a lot about his life through the Lane kids. He played a good role in influencing those around him and I suspect will be sorely missed. My condolences to the family.
