Annie E. "Virginia" Sellars Obituary
Annie E. "Virginia" Sellars, age 93, of Hernando, FL, passed away at The Grove Health and Rehab Center on April 3, 2018. Virginia was born in Croom, FL, on June 17, 1924, to the late Tally Cranford and May (Croft) Ellis.
She attended Florida State University and married Marvin Sellars on
August 7, 1947 and shared 26 years of marriage with him until his passing on February 20, 1974. Virginia returned home to Hernando, FL, in 1976 after relocating from Atlanta, GA.
She was Pentecostal by faith and attended services at the Hernando Church of the Nazarene. Virginia greatly enjoyed her children, their kids and great grandkids. She enjoyed gardening and could be found working in it daily. She especially liked growing roses. She absolutely loved to travel with her cousin and traveling companion Eileen Ogle Cravath and visited many countries throughout the years.
Virginia's passing will be mourned by her children: Steve Sellars and his wife Frances of Hernando, FL, Rosa Craig of Crowley, TX, Susan Williams and her husband Ron of Beverly Hills, FL, Tim Sellars and his wife Julie of Hernando, FL; grandchildren: Sean Timothy Sellars, Christine N. Sellars, Wm Paul Craig, Joseph M. Craig, Elizabeth R. Craig, Rachel Craig Manson, Troy L. Williams, Timothy L. Williams; great grandchildren: Jacob Noftz, Cierra Williams, Micah, Sophia, Victoria and Alivia Craig, Evan and Tommy Manson and special cousin Robert William Croft.
Virginia was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jennifer Suzanne Williams in March, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alice Ellis Griffin, and brother, Joseph Cranford Ellis
Virginia will be laid to rest at the family cemetery located in Hernando, FL. The Hernando Cemetery was established in 1887 by Virginia's ancestors.
Her family plans to have a service of remembrance for her at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
