Barbara Frances "Getty" Sabrouch Obituary
Barbara Frances Sabrouch, "Getty", age 87, of Lecanto, FL, passed away April 15, 2017 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Born April 4, 1930 in West Chester, PA to Harry Wilson and Mary Frances (Garris) Getty.
Loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to so many. She looked forward to each day enjoying it with pleasure. She was an avid golfer, she belonged to Indian Valley C.C. in Pa, Moss Creek Plantation in Hilton Head, SC; and Black Diamond Ranch C.C. in Lecanto FL. She had 5 hole in ones during her golf career! A woman of faith, she attended Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. Barbara loved her family and friends, entertaining,
cooking, crocheting, knitting, reading, playing the organ, crossword puzzles and card games with friends. During her married life she lived in Collegeville PA, Hilton Head SC and Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three children, Donald Jr, Douglas and John; brother's Bill and Allen.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald Sabrouch; two children, Debra Sabrouch Neill, husband Bill from Kinnelon NJ and David Sabrouch from West Chester PA; siblings, Ken and Joyce both from Delaware; 4 Grandchildren, Douglas Sabrouch Jr.; Laura Neill Jeros, husband Ethan; Wm. Ryan Neill, wife Tiffany; and Tyler Neill. She also has 2 great grandchildren, Alyssa and Brody.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, FL.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20th at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church; reception to follow.
Memorial donations should be sent to: Hospice of Citrus County or to the in honor of Barbara's beautiful life.
