The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Betty M. Maynard , age 82, of Beverly Hills, Florida, will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, Florida. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Wednesday at the Beverly Hills Chapel. Betty Marie Garvin Hughes Maynard, born February 17, 1934 in St. Petersburg, FL, daughter of William Garvin and Florence Roe Garvin Lewis, passed away September 17, 2016 in Crystal River, FL. Mrs. Maynard moved from Pinellas County to Citrus County in 1972. She was a retired CNA and had worked in several nursing homes and for Citrus County as a respite worker, as well as at Seven Rivers Hospital. She was a member of West Citrus Church of Christ, Crystal River, FL. Mrs. Maynard was preceded in death by her first husband, Lamar Hughes of Inglis on Oct. 5, 1985; second husband, Burnie Maynard of Beverly Hills on Sept. 21, 2005; step-son, Burnie "BJ" Maynard Jr. on Nov. 11, 2000; a step-great-grandson, Shadow on April 6, 2012 and step-great-grandson, Micheal Armand on Jan. 4, 2013. Survivors include her 4 sons: Wesley P. Hughes and wife Michelle, of Clearwater, FL, Timothy D. Hughes and wife Susan, of Inglis, FL, Terry D. Hughes and wife Janice, of Saginaw, TX, and Steven E. Hughes and wife Tina, of Homosassa, FL; 2 step-sons, Floyd W. Maynard and wife Lena, of Madison, WV, and Anthiel "Butch" Maynard and wife Debbie, of Haines City, FL; step-daughter-in-law, Auddie Maynard of Casey, IL; 4 step-daughters, Connie J. Hawker and husband Joseph of Martinsville, IL, Martella "Tillie" Evans and husband Steve, of Lovely, KY, Myrtie Snearly of Martinsville, IL, and Vivian "Dibber" Grissom and husband Tim, of Toledo, IL. Also left behind is her sister, Sylvia D. Wall of St. Petersburg, FL,
