Bonny Jean Alexander Obituary
Bonny Jean Alexander, 59, of Homosassa, FL received her wings on June 20th, 2017 in the care of Hospice. She first battled cancer in 2006 which she beat then she was diagnosed with a different kind of cancer in 2016.
In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend. And still you kept on fighting, until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you And whispered "Come to Me" So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again.
Bonny was born in Texas and was a resident of Homosassa, FL for most all of her life. Bonny loved and adored her family - they were her everything and she was the backbone of them all! She had a heart of gold and would do anything she could to help other people!
"Bonny would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing in her sarcastic way, looking down on us, and reading to her heart's content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her family and friends to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated."
Bonny is survived by her mother Christine Judge of Homosassa, FL; daughter's Christy Elliott of Homosassa, FL and Kat Alexander of Homosassa, FL; two brothers Chuck Hyatt (wife Paula) of Lindenhurst, IL and Josh Shiver (wife Ronnie) of Inverness, FL; Aunt Patty Elliott of Wadsworth, IL; grandchildren Brittany Stevenson of Homosassa, FL and Tyller Carlucci-Elliott of Homosassa, FL; great grandchildren Brad, Mia and Elijah of Homosassa, FL; as well as several extended family members and friends.
Bonny was preceded in death by her grandparents Charley & Bonny Elliott; father Aubrey Shiver in 1991; her brother Paul Bentley Hyatt in 1974 and her beloved sister Trish Hyatt in 2011.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Bonny at the Homosassa Lions Club 3705 S. Indiana Ave, Homosassa, FL 34448 on Saturday July 22, 2017 from 1pm till 3pm. All are welcome who knew Bonny to come celebrate her life!
