Brad Swasey Obituary
Brad A. Swasey, age 36, of Inverness, passed away on January 8, 2017 with his loving parent's by his side at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto. He was born on December 17, 1980 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Frank and Sheila (Wallace) Swasey. Brad and his parents came to Citrus County 17 years ago from Carver, Massachusetts.
Brad was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness. He was involved in missionary work for the Lord with his mom and dad.
He touched the lives of so many people without even speaking a word.
Brad was a day client of the Key Center for many years. He loved to travel and go for car rides to listen to his music.
Brad loved the music at his church as well. Any time that he was able to listen to his music was his favorite time! Brad's favorite song was "Trashy Women" by Confederate Railroad. He also enjoyed all the laughter in his home.
Left to cherish his memory in addition to his loving parents are: his maternal grandmother, Luella Wallace of Inverness; uncle, Albert G. (Jean) Wallace of Carver, MA; aunts: Emma Sheppard, Colorado Springs, CO, Merlene (Allen) McCain and Marjean Steel both of Spanish Fork, UT and his many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Albert G. Wallace, Sr., paternal grandfather Arvil Swasey and paternal grandmother, Aleta Swasey; paternal aunt, Donna Daly and uncle Douglas Swasey. Brad will be sorely missed by so many, as he touched many people's lives throughout his lifetime.
A Celebration of Life Service for Brad will be held on Monday, Jan. 16th at 6:00 PM from the Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Kell, officiating.
Friends will be welcomed at church from 5:00 PM until service time. Yellow was Brad's favorite color, so to honor his memory please try to wear something yellow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Missions Fund or the Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection, P.O. Box 1164, Inverness, FL 34451.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
