Carolyn "Sue" Beville Obituary
Carolyn "Sue" Beville, age 66, died at home on Wednesday March 29, 2017 in the loving presence of her two sons, Bryson Ward and James Mills, her daughter-in-laws, Lee Ann Ward and Angie Mills, and her loving friend, Janet Landry. Sue lost her battle with cancer after bravely fighting it for seven years.
Hospice of Citrus County, in home care, kept her comfortable until she made the transition from Earth to Heaven. She began her journey on Earth at her great grandmother's home in West Union, Ohio on September 8, 1950 to Robert and Betty Thatcher. She attended Winchester High School in Adams County, Ohio. She was a Citrus County resident for 37 years, where she worked as a manger for retail sales, and she brightened the lives of many people.
During her lifetime she really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with various animals she had in her life. She was a loving, tender and generous soul. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because she loved giving to her family and friends. She also loved Easter with the big egg hunt for her grandchildren.
She will be especially remembered for her huge heart and for the love she had for all of the people around her.
She was survived by her loving mother Betty Crank; her sister: Marilyn Rhoades, and husband Gaylen; her three brothers: Bill Crank, his wife Lorraine; Keith Crank, his wife Barbara; Kenny Crank, his wife Tracy, all of Ohio. She is also survived by her two loving sons: James Mills, and his wife Angie of Homosassa, Florida; Bryson Ward, and his wife Lee Ann of Crystal River, Florida. Five grandchildren: Cody, Stephanie, Shelby, Dakota and Alissa. She had one great grandchild, Samuel, and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Samuel Thatcher and her step-father William Albert Crank, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to the Memorial Service of Momma Sue to be held at Strickland Funeral Home located at 1901 SE 19, Crystal River, Florida 34429 on Tuesday April 4th. Visiting time with family is at 5 PM with services to start at 6 PM. Her remains will be laid to rest at Fountains Memorial Park located at 5635 W. Green Acres Street, Homosassa, Florida at a later date.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Sue's memory to Hospice of Citrus County or the Humane Society of Citrus County, Florida.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Citrus County for their kindness and support to Sue and her family during this difficult time.
