Catherine May Broman, 78, Inverness, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 26, 2015 at Highland Place under the care of Citrus Hospice & The Nature Coast. Cathy was born March 24, 1937 in Milford, CT to the late William and Anna (Fox) Ahrens and came to this area in 1995 from Connecticut and Cincinnati, OH. She resided in Inverness for the last 20 years. She was a loving wife and mother of her children and did volunteer work at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati for many years. She enjoyed working in crafts, was a talented artist, and was active in her local church, both in Cincinnati, OH and Brooksville, FL She also enjoyed playing the piano.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, Carl Leonard Broman; her two children, Kurt Broman of Shelby Township. MI and Catherine Wathen of Cincinnati, OH; one sister, Marion Wagner of Pace, FL; 2 grandchildren, Carissa Hall of Danville, KY. and Candace Broman of Waterford, MI;
2 great-grandchildren, Josh and Jordan Hall, both of Kentucky, and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister, Herbert Ahrens and Vivian Aherns.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 8th at 11:00 A.M. at the Brooksville Bible Chapel, 21123 Yontz Road, Brooksville, FL 34601. Burial will follow in Hills of Rest Cemetery of Floral City. Friends may visit the family at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to Brooksville Bible Chapel in Cathy's memory.
