Charles Bolt Caldwell (Chuck) died Aug. 14, 2015, of natural causes. While he primarily resides in Citrus Hills, Hernando, Florida, he died in his summer cottage in Bridgewater, New Hampshire, near his family.
He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Rochester, New York, to Charles Edward and Elizabeth Bolt Caldwell. He was a World War II veteran, a proud member of the U.S. Navy, and a 1949 graduate of Hobart College.
Chuck is survived by his wife Martha Townsend Caldwell; his three children, Charles Edward Caldwell, John Townsend Caldwell and Cynthia Elizabeth Caldwell; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, with another on the way.
Chuck spent his career primarily in the retail business in several department stores. As his career advanced, he and his family lived in Portland, Oregon; New Orleans, Louisiana; Peoria, Illinois; Kansas City, Kansas; Pittsford, New York; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Nashua, New Hampshire.
Chuck will be interned in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Aug. 28, 2015, at noon in the Townsend plot.
A memorial service will be held at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Inverness, Florida, on a date to be determined this fall.
