Charles Trout Obituary
The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Charles M. Trout, age 91, of Hernando, Florida, will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church, Lecanto, FL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service, Friday at the church.

Mr. Trout was born October 18, 1924 in Oak Park, IL, son of the late Harry and Sally (Kwiatkowski) Trout. He died October 26, 2015 in Hernando, FL.
Mr. Trout served in the US Army during WWII. He was a Master Sergeant S-3 Operations for the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 11 Airborne Division which served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He worked as a electrical contractor in Chicago, IL, was an instructor for National Electrical Code studies and also taught National Electrical Code at Harper College, College of Dupage and College of Lake County. He was the Past President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1663. Was a member of the National Academy of Electrical Contracting (NECA) and author of the Electrical Contractors "Code Question of the Day" for their website.
In addition Charles has had articles published in the Electrical Contractors Magazine and wrote and had published two books on electrical code. In November of 2006 Charles was awarded the Allen Coggeshall Award, which honors a member of the NEAC who is adjudged to have made outstanding contributions in progressing the technical/ training service fields of the electrical industry. He was a member of the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Trout moved to Hernando, Florida from Boca Raton, FL in 2000. Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Carole Trout of Hernando, son, Kevin (Shelly) Smith of Elmhurst, IL, 2 daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Doak of Jensen Beach and Kimberly Cloud of Birmingham, AL, brother, Keith Trout of Meadowlands, MN, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Arrangements are under the direction of the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
