David Richard Bond, 67, of West Riley Drive, Dunnellon, FL passed 7:00 a.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his home in Waverly, Ohio.
David was born February 19, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Edwin M. Bond, Sr. of Dunnellon, FL and the late Margaret Jane (Dunne) Bond. David was united in marriage to Karen Sue "Kay" (Reed) Bond, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Lisa R. Rodier and husband Mark of Amissville, VA, Matthew R. Bond and wife Diana of Chillicothe, Ohio, Audrie R. Pennington and husband Randall of Chillicothe, Ohio, Sunny Crabtree and husband Ronald of Waverly, Ohio, Melanie Smith and husband Gary of Sardinia, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren, Andrew and Kristen Rodier, Sarah and Zac Bond, Trevan and Jett Pennington, Ashley, Bailey and Megan Mulkern, Andrew Leeth, Allison Crabtree, Joplin Cox and Brooklyn Smith, sister, Diane Mullen and husband William of Canton, Ohio, four brothers, Edwin M. Bond, Jr. and wife Donna of Massillon, Ohio, Shaun Bond of Canton, Ohio, Robin and wife Candy of Canton, Kim Bond and wife Laura of Stafford, Virginia and a sister-in-law, Debbie Bond of Canton, Ohio.
His mother, son, David R. Bond Jr. and a brother, James Kevin Bond preceded David in death.
David was a retired transmission project manager with over 43 years of service with A.E.P. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of Amvets Post #58, Waverly, Ohio, member of the American Legion Post #155, V.F.W. Post #4864, Citrus Springs, FL and the Moose Lodge #2263, Waverly, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio, with Pastor Dale Reed, officiating.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday.
