Edith Corwin Newberg, 55, of Inverness, Florida, passed away December 12th, 2016
Edie was born in Terrytown, New York to Edwin E. Corwin and Verna J. Corwin on April 24th, 1961.
Edie grew up in Miami Florida where she attended Miami Central senior high school. A decade after graduating Edie wanted a change. Edie was an adventurous person and in 1989 moved from Miami to start a new life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She became a finance loan officer and had much success in the financial industry. She was also very active volunteering with the local chapter of the Red Cross. Edie also fell in love with hot air ballooning while in Albuquerque. So much so that she eventually became a hot air balloon pilot. It was something that she was most proud of. She attended many of the balloon festivals in and around the Albuquerque area every year. She even eventually was able to take her mother, step father, and aunt for a ride as well as many friends. Edie then moved to Colorado and absolutely enjoyed the mountain living. Edie enjoyed the outdoor life and the mountains where she would hunt, fish, and camp. She returned to Florida in 2012 and settled in Inverness.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents Edwin E. Corwin and Verna J. Schneider as well as her beloved husband Phillip Newberg.
Edie is survived by her three brothers Kenneth, Douglas, and Glenn Corwin
