Edwin Lytton Obituary
Mr. Edwin H. Lytton, age 89, of Inverness, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. He trusted Christ as a young person and has attended the First United Methodist Church of Inverness for many years.
Mr. Lytton was born in Gay, W.Va. on January 12, 1926, to O. C. and Gertrude Lytton. He lived his growing up years in Dunbar, W.Va. where he met the love of his life, Doris Martin Lytton. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Lytton was honored to serve his country in the United States Army Air Corps during W.W.II. He graduated from Morris Harvey College in Charleston, W.Va. with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1949 while working in the family business. Upon moving to Florida Mr. Lytton was very proud to be in the first licensing group of the Florida Construction Licensing Board in 1971 earning a license number of 15 only because the licenses were issued in alphabetical order. Since then he served as a member of the licensing board at the state and national levels and on the local hospital board.
Mr. Lytton is survived by his wonderful wife, Doris, and their children Beverly (Stephen) Coney, Gary (Carolyn) Lytton, Tim (Pat) Lytton, Tom (Tracy) Lytton and his sister, Bernadine Lytton Steinmetz of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren Kimberly (Cameron) Roberts, Chad (Ashley) Lytton, Lisa Lytton, Kevin (Christine) Lytton, Allison Coney, Joshua (Natalie) Coney and 9 great-grandchildren Kinsley, Cade, Lilly, Melody, Carter, Belle, Olivia, Damien, and Levi and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Ft. Cooper Baptist Church in Inverness on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL with full Military Honors. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com.
