Eugene Queen Obituary
Eugene Queen, 89, of Homosassa passed away on July 29, 2017. Eugene was born on November 19, 1927 in Landville, West Virginia, the son of the late Basil and Bertha (Jones) Queen. Eugene was a retired employee with the Chrysler Motor Company. He retired in 1984 after 33 years of service. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 619 in Dayton, Ohio also a member of the F & A Masons and the F. O. Eagles.
Eugene was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Joann Queen, in 2014 and his son Richard Queen in 2002. He is survived by his sons Gerald Queen of Colorado, Thomas Queen and his wife Denise of Ohio and Jeffrey Queen of Homosassa, Sister Cindy Farley of West Virginia, brothers in law Lee Miller of Dayton, Ohio and Harold Picklesimer of Texas, sisters in law Margaret Parker and Katherine Lynn both of Dayton, Ohio, Marylou Devers of Texas and Rosalie Matt and her husband Joseph of Hernando, Fl., 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilder Funeral Home 4890 S. Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, Fl. A celebration of Eugene's life will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Private entombment with his loving wife Joann will follow at a later date at Fountains Memorial Park, Homosassa. www.wilderfuneral.com
