Floyd E. Wood, 71, of Hernando, Florida formerly of Macungie, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at home with his loving wife, Karen and his dog and best friend, Spike. He fought a long, courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Washington, DC, Floyd was the son of the late Virginia (Everett) and William Floyd B. Wood. He served in the US Army in 1966. Floyd then started his career with Mr. Nicholas J. Bouras Inc. and in 1981 acquired Prior Coated Metals in Allentown where he ended his 47-year career as a Steel Executive. He was a very caring, generous, giving boss to all of his employees. Floyd was also a long time member of Brookside Country Club and a member of Skyview Country Club in Hernando, Florida. He made many friends on the golf course and in his career, where he had a great impact on everyone. Floyd loved life as many know; he was best at entertaining his clients, most of whom became his best friends throughout his life. Floyd was a diehard Redskins fan, and loved his NASCAR racing. He was also an avid Republican and enjoyed following the Presidential race right up until the end.

He is also survived by his son Richard Wood of Savannah, GA, sister Margaret Stevens of Catasauqua, PA, his sister-in-law, Patricia Boyle and her companion Jeff Campbell, brother-in-law William Keller and his wife Jane, father-in-law, William C.
