George Dalrymple Cole, 85, passed away after a lengthy illness, on April 15, 2012. He was born and resided in Marblehead, MA, also Topsfield, MA, and in Homosassa, FL, for the past 14 years. He was the son of Raymond F. Cole and Edna J. (Dalrymple) Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Curtis D. Cole; and brother Dr. Raymond F. Cole, Jr. George is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marjorie (Jerry) Cole; his daughter Lesley L. Mattuchio and son-in-law John N. Mattuchio, of Melrose, MA; and a granddaughter, Susan L. Mattuchio of Haverhill, MA.
Mr. Cole attended Marblehead High School, Mass Maritime Academy and Tufts University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the Honor Guard for General McArthur in Japan at the end of World War II. He was the proprietor of Curtis Music Stores in Massachusetts, was active in his church and enjoyed being a member of a barbershop quartet, along with being a devoted and loving father and husband.
Services for Mr. Cole will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the First Methodist Church in Homosassa, FL. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to HPH Hospice www.hph-hospice.org or to the First Methodist Church in Homosassa, FL.

At 70 years old I'm still tuning pianos, and still using the screw drive with the blue wooden handle you gave me 50 years ago. I think of you every time I use it.
