Born in northern Kentucky, he lived many years in Florida and loved the nature and climate of the state. He was an active fisherman and often had his boat out on the lakes nearby. He told many funny stories about his work travel as an electrician in Alaska, Montana, New Orleans and many other places in long conversations with friends and family.
He is survived by Jan Ethier, his partner of many years; his two daughters, Joy (Tom) Sheu and Tammy (Barney) Steinberg of New Port Richey; six grandchildren; and his mother, Marcella Schneider of Crescent Springs, Kentucky. Siblings include Rose Schneider of Washington, D.C., Theresa Eubank (Cliff) of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Chris Rider (Gary) of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Joe Schneider (Cathy) of Beavercreek, Ohio, Tom Schneider (Shaun) of Fort Wright, Kentucky, Mary Ruberg (Don) of Edgewood, Kentucky, Philip Schneider of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Pat Helmer (Steve) of Ludlow, Kentucky, and Paul (Paul) of Leesburg, Virginia.
