Herbert "Victor" Snook Obituary
Herbert "Victor" Snook, 86, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away October 18, 2015, at Brentwood Nursing Facility in Lecanto, Florida.
He was born January 9, 1929, in Greeley, Colorado, to the late Archie and Maudie Snook. He had moved here 8 months ago from Lander and Wheatland Wyoming, where he resided for over 50 years. He was a retired Electrician/Cable Technician, and was a Volunteer Firefighter for the Wheatland Fire Department, and a past member of the Moose Lodge, NRA, and the Boy Scouts of America.
He had served in the United States Marine Corps and the Wyoming National Guard.
He was preceded in death by three children, Ricky Alan Snook, Vicky May Snook, and Donna Marie Whitehead; his grandson Dallas D. Snook; siblings, Rhoda, Dorothy, Ella, Della, Homer, Winiford, Richard, and Delbert. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlet Snook; six children, Roger Dean Snook, Duane Herbert Snook, Steve Arden Snook, David Alan Snook, Wanda Lynn Snook, and Diana Dea Snook-Fazioli; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of his Life will take place Friday, October 30, at 6:00 p.m. at the Crystal River Church of God with Pastor Roger Cash officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal River.
