Jeremy Baylous Obituary
Jeremy Clay Baylous, age 44, of Inverness, FL passed away September 21, 2016 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family. Jeremy was born on November 23, 1971 in Chillicothe, OH to Thomas and Janet (Graves) Baylous. As a child, he moved to Inverness with his mother and was a lifetime resident. In 1990, Jeremy married Berlisa "Lisa" Fortner, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. He was employed in the road construction industry throughout his lifetime.
Jeremy was an avid sports fan, but especially enjoyed NASCAR. He loved classic cars, especially his 1970 Nova, and enjoyed playing video games. Jeremy liked fishing and hunting but, he got the most enjoyment out of teaching his grandchildren about the outdoors, and taking them on his fishing and hunting excursions. A true animal lover, he will be especially missed by his loyal Doberman Pinscher, Winchester. He also raised snakes for a number of years, loved keeping and caring for fish, and birdwatching. Jeremy made sure his birdfeeders were always full and especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds.
Those left to mourn Jeremy's passing are his loving wife, Berlisa Baylous; father, Thomas Baylous of Ohio; mother, Janet Graves of Inverness; son, Tommy Gregory of Daytona, FL; daughters: Sheena Baylous and Sonja Woolsey, both of Inverness, and Minnuette Costello of Daytona, FL; brother, John Baylous of Ohio; sisters: Misty Graves Thomason (Ricky) and Brandy Conley both of Inverness, Casey Conley of Ft. Myers, FL, and Barbara Chick of Ohio; grandchildren: Winter, Treasure, Troy and Toby; and aunt, Susan Graves. He also leaves behind his life-long best friends: Samuel Ritter, Randy Nichols, Mikey Lipsette and Cobra Mancini. Jeremy was preceded in death by one grandchild, Tristan. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
