The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. John Guy LaRocque, age 81 years, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, to Florian and Cecile LaRocque. Mr. LaRocque was a retired pipe fitter in the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. He was Catholic by faith.
Mr. LaRocque was predeceased by his wife, Sandra J. LaRocque; and a sister, Paulette Lopez. Surviving are his six children: John LaRocque of Lee, N.H., Susan Roy of Dover, Deborah Dunn of Rochester, N.H., Kathryn Clark of Searsport, Maine, Nancy LaRocque of Dover, and Matthew LaRocque of Dover; brothers and sisters: Susan Manning of Citrus Springs, Madeline Belise of Agawam, Mass., Micheline LaRocque of Citrus Springs, Joseph LaRocque of Citrus Springs and Paul LaRocque of Uintah, Utah; 14 grandchildren: Tiffany, Crystale, Melissa, Jessica, Jacob, Davis, Robert, Daniel, Robert, Arianna, Christine, Melanie, Emily and John; eight great-grandchildren; special friend: Barbara Robbins; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are by the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes.
