John Livingstone Harper, 88, of Inverness, Florida, died November 16, 2015, with his daughters, family and special friends lovingly watching over him.
John was born August 20, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, to Alexander and Annie (Livingstone) Harper, immigrants from Scotland. He was the second youngest of nine children.

On May 6, 1949, John married the love of his life, Clarice Joan Murray. They were married for 61 years and gave life to their three daughters Ann, Patricia and Susan.
John enjoyed being a member and volunteering at the VFW Post 4337 and the East Citrus County Community Center. He delivered Meals on Wheels and he received an award from the Red Cross for his work during the floods. He just loved helping people and being in their company.

Most recently, he went on the Honor Flight for veterans of WWII, and never stopped bragging about the experience. Most of all he adored his cats, Wendy & Susie (and the many before them.)
