Joseph William "Joe" Hozian

Joseph William "Joe" Hozian, 88, went to rest in the arms of God on September 17, 2016 at Seven Rivers Hospital, in Citrus County, Florida. Joe was born on October 27, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, and was married and devoted to his wife, Jeanette Hozian, for 55 years. Joe served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps, and loved fishing, hunting, and his family. He was a longtime member and past Commander of Amvets Post 447 in Inglis, FL, and was also an active member of VFW Post 8698 in Inglis and American Legion Post 155 in Crystal River, FL.
Following his military service, Joe worked for over 15 years in the insurance industry in Chicago, winning numerous sales awards with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Joe was predeceased by brother Michael Hozian and sister-in-law Mary Hozian. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanette, sister Gladys Soellner, nephews Patrick Hozian, Michael Hozian, Sam Kazdal and Jake Kazdal, nieces Luann Welsh, Kathy Hickley, and Janice Welsh, brothers-in-law Richard Kazdal, Louis Kazdal, and John Kazdal.
A Celebration of Life Memorial is scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1pm at Inglis Amvets Post 447, 405 E Hwy 40, Inglis. At the memorial, military Honors will be rendered by Chiefland VFW Post 5625 Honor Guard. Semper Fi, Joe. Fair winds and following seas.
