Larry Lieberman Obituary
Larry M. Lieberman, 92, of Homosassa, Fl. entered into rest on December 21, 2016.
Larry, and his brother Arnie were the largest single family home developer in Central Florida during the 1970's and 80's. He also built shopping centers, churches, synagogues and several bowling alleys.
Larry was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 17, 1924 the son of Hyman and Betty (Rubin) Lieberman. Larry was a life member of the West Citrus Elks, a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, held a Florida General Contracting License continuously for over 46 years, had a Coast Guard License, was a member of the SugarMill Woods Country Club for the past 35 years and was a founding member of the "Mad Dogs" golf group. He also served aboard the Essex-Class Aircraft Carrier USS Boxer in the Pacific during WWII.
Larry was an avid Golfer and enjoyed dancing and Jazz music.
Larry was predeceased by his first wife of 50 years Dorothy Lieberman, his brother Arnie Lieberman and sister Diana Felsot.
Larry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joan Lieberman of Homosassa. Although Larry was Jewish he attended Catholic mass most every Sunday with Joan.
He is survived by his son Ronald Lieberman and his wife Angela of Ocala FL, Daughters Denise Snyder of Homosassa FL, Maureen and her husband Dan Wilson of Crystal River FL, William Houman and his wife Johanna of Concord, New Hampshire, Robert Houman of Vermont, Brian Houman of Land-o-Lakes FL, Elizabeth and her husband John Kruger of Bluffton SC, Thomas Houman and his wife Shawn of Fayetteville, GA, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Interment will be at a later date.
