Lillian Frances Bailey, 82, of Inverness FL formerly of Putnam County passed away Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at her home. She was a 1952 graduate of Buffalo High School where she was a majorette and Miss Buffalo High. She retired from Columbia Gas with 33 years of service. After retirement, she along with her husband, Paul, moved to Green Bank and then to Inverness FL. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born November 10, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Daniel Asbury and Sarah Helen McClannahan Asbury. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Marylin Asbury and brothers, Ronald and Gene Asbury.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years Paul E. Bailey; daughter Melissa S. Bailey; sisters, Katherine McCann, Carol West and Susan Asbury all of Inverness FL.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 17, 2016 at Raynes Funeral Home (Eleanor Chapel) with Pastor Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial with will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Eleanor. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
