Margaret "Peggy" Barrett Kennedy, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017 at the Citrus Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida.
She was born in 1936 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Cecilia (Snyder) and Anthony Barrett. Peggy and her family moved to Florida in 1978.
Peggy, a homemaker, loved ballet dancing, cooking and baking, and loved to take care of her family and friends. She enjoyed writing stories and poems and loved talking about her hometown of Pottsville, PA. Peggy always had a friendly smile and a generosity for everyone she met.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Albert Francis Kennedy, son Mark, and her three sisters, Winifred, Eileen and Loretta. She is survived by her children Debra Hayden, NY; Denise Kalvan, FL; Frank Kennedy, PA and Anthony Kennedy, FL; eight grandchildren and three great-children, nieces and nephews and her dear friend Jim Korntved.
A private service will be held by the family. Peggy would want us to cherish our memories and do good deeds for one another. She will be missed by family and friends.
