Marjorie W. "Marge" Green Obituary
Marjorie W. "Marge" Green, 93, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Florida.
A native Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was born in Taylor Falls, Minnesota on April 3, 1924 to Harvey and Martha (Mullins) Wunder. Marge, as she was known to many, met her former husband Ronald M. Green, at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 1943. Marge earned her associate degree from Rollins College and after the war, Marge and Ronald moved to Citrus County in 1946, where she became a lifelong homemaker and mother. Marge loved to travel and take care of her family and was instrumental in the founding of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Crystal River.
Mrs. Green is survived by her children Ronald Green, Jr., Lecanto, FL; Marjorie "Jorie" Bertine, Crystal River, Fl; William Green, Crystal River, Fl; John Green (wife Carol), Crystal River, Fl; grandchildren Jarrod Green, Crystal River; Cameron Green, Boca Raton, FL and Andrew "Drew" Bertine (wife Lisa) Lecanto, FL, as well as great grandsons Dalton and Colton Bertine, Lecanto, FL. In addition to her parents and her former husband Ronald, Marge was preceded in death by her two brothers, John and William Wunder, who were both pilots during WWII and made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Marjorie will be truly missed by her family and friends as she was a grand lady and a great Mother. She was generous to all she knew and a joy to all who knew her.
Friends will be received on Wed., July 12, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL. A graveside service will take place at 11:30 A.M. at Fountains Memorial Park, Homosassa, FL, with Fr. Gilbert Larsen of St. Anne's Episcopal Church officiating. www.wilderfuneral.com.
