Mary Boshell Obituary
Mary Price Boshell of Crystal River, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on September 27 at 7:15 pm. A celebration of her life will be at Strickland Funeral Home in Crystal River, Fl, on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 pm, followed by a memorial service. Pastor Kent Zimmermann and his wife Candy, of Turning Point Church, Chiefland, FL will be officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV, with Pastor David Price officiating.
Mary was born in Sabine, WV, on September the second, 1930. She was born in her homeplace and grew up with 10 siblings. She attended Glen Rogers High School and graduated in 1948. She was a home maker and wonderful mother.
Her biggest joy was serving in many of the churches where she had memberships over the years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chiefland, FL, where she sang in the choir. Later, she became a member of the Turning Point Church in Chiefland where she was one of the founding members. Mary loved her friends and church families in Chiefland. Mary was most currently a member of the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, Fl, and studied the bible with Goldie Anderson and friends.
Mary Price Boshell was born to and preceded in passing to parents
Garfield P. Price and Mazie Brooks Price and by her husband Harry Edward Boshell and daughter Kathi Dawn Boshell. In addition, she is preceded in death by her beloved brothers Junior Price, Stacey Price, Bill Price, Dwayne Price, and Elmer Lee Price. Also, Preceding her in death were her precious sisters Hydrith Frazier, Audrey McGraw, and Carol Brown. Mary had a host of nieces and nephews and loved family
reunions.
Mary is survived by her daughter Briget Boshell Brothers and husband Jimmie Brothers of Crystal River, Fl, three grandchildren; Nick, Amy, and Holly Brothers. Mary is also survived by her remaining siblings, Alma Jean Smith of Elizabethton, TN, and Paul Price and his wife Peggy, of Brook Park, Ohio.
Briget and Jimmie wish to extend their sincere gratitude to Rosecastle of Citrus for being such wonderful, dedicated, and caring staff and caregivers. She loved her family at Rosecastle and could be found dancing and singing gospel songs. Appreciation also is extended to the nursing home ministries at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church and Gulf to Lake Baptist Church. Mary was able to continue her service and keep her eyes on God through these ministries. Gratitude is also extended to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
Mary requested in lieu of flowers that donations may be made to her favorite charity, The Key Training Center in Lecanto, Florida, or to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Please visit their respective websites for more information.
