Mary Elizabeth Cook, 71, of Citrus Springs, Fla., passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala. She was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Charles Henry and Hila Jane (Staley) Boothe. Mary was a child care nannie and arrived in this area in 1993, coming from Bradenton. She attended First Assembly of God in Inverness. Mary enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving family: children, Ronald D. (Bridgitte) Cook of Hillsdale, Mich., Richard J. Cook of Pioneer Ohio, Charles D. (Anne) Cook of Las Vegas, Nev., Brian L. (Christine) Cook of Inverness, Michael J. (Julie) Cook of Quincy, Mich., Candy J. Wiltshire of Citrus Springs, and Sandy J. (companion Jeff) Cook of Tallahassee; brothers, Charles P. Boothe of Onstead, Mich., and Joseph P. Boothe of Adrian, Mich.; sisters, Jo Ann Day of Pittsford, Mich., and Belinda J. Sawdey of North Adams, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends in visitation at 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, with the funeral service to be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband Richard, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, following the services.
