Mary Granata Obituary
Mary Granata went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2016. The family thanks the wonderful staff at Munroe Regional Medical Center CVICU for the professional and heart-felt care given to Mary. She spent her career as a registered nurse, many of those years working in the Emergency Room of St. Petersburg General Hospital in St.Petersburg, Florida.
Mary was a very giving person. She created Freebies, taking in donations of clothes and miscellaneous items from the community and then giving everything away at the Homosassa Civic Association building to the less fortunate in Homosassa. She loved taking care of her turkeys, cows, chickens and especially her five peacocks.
Mary was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Granata; her sons, Ronald Ouellette (Toni), Mark Ouellette (Catherine), and Brian Ouellette (Karen); her daughter, Jana Davis (Eric); her grandchildren, Jennifer Donovan (Larry), Emily Raniolo (Johnny), and Brian Ouellette; her great-grandchildren, Catie, Sarah, Bella, Evie and Vincent; and her step-children, Joel Granata (Jennifer), Jayme Granata, Jerry Granata (Michelle), Kimberlee Lamb (David) and Joseph Granata (Kelly).
The Celebration of Life for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S. Suncoast Boulevard, Homosassa, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a .
