On Sunday April 30th Mary Jo Lohmeyer left this earth to lie with our Lord Jesus Christ after a long illness. With family and friends by her side, known as M.J. to many, she wore many hats in life. From a Heinz Ketchup worker to graduating top of her class in nursing. She worked for over 20 years as an industrial nurse with the Libby Glass Co., Toledo, Ohio. Retired to Citrus Co., Florida, with her husband Gerald "Jerry" Lohmeyer in 1990, she came out of retirement to become a top sales person selling homes within her community. Once retired from that, her passion blossomed by taking a position as Program Director for CASA (Citrus Abuse Shelter Association) here in Citrus Co. where she helped countless women and children.
Of the many hats she wore, she always said that her greatest calling was to be a mother. She was a longtime devoted member of her church, Grace World Outreach Church, Brooksville, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald "Jerry" Lohmeyer and is survived by two loving sons, William J. and Richard Allen Lind, her sister Jenny Lee Burger, two nieces, countless friends.
Her spirit lives on, and she will be deeply missed.
Love Conquers All.
