Mildred Villeret (Smith) Roseberry Obituary
Mildred Villeret Smith Roseberry, age 85, of Hernando, FL passed away June 30, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast,
Lecanto. Mildred was born on October 24, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL to the late William Neal and Villeret Russell Smith. She graduated from Florida State University in 1953 with a degree in Accounting. In 1978 she married Miney Roseberry with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Prior to moving to Citrus Hills in 1994, Mildred lived in Alexandria, VA and owned and operated the Lady M Mastectomy Boutique. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and received a citizenship award from the Sons of the American Revolution. Mildred was also a member of the Red Hat Society, the Citrus Hills Country Club, and a past President of the Citrus Hills Women's Club. Mildred was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society where she served Citrus County as Coordinator for their Look Good...Feel Better program and was a Reach to Recovery Trainer. She, along with her husband Miney, wrote a monthly "Spotlight on Dining" restaurant review for the Village Crier newspaper for 10 years. In her spare time, Mildred enjoyed taking cruises and traveling with her husband. She also loved making scrapbooks and watching movies in her home theater.
In addition to her husband Miney, those left to mourn Mildred's passing include son, Robert McKenzie, Jr. of Tampa, FL; daughters: Paula Patrick of Clifton, VA, Kathryn Fritz of Charlotte, NC; step daughters: Becky Gibson of Caledonia, MI, Susan Murphy of Fredericksburg, VA and Lisa Eylar, Fruitland, ID; brother, Russell Camp of Honeoye Falls, NY; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Mildred was preceded in death by her brother, Penn Camp of Witheville, VA.
A celebration of Mildred's life is planned for Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Father Eugene Reuman of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, Mildred's family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
