Milton W. "Bill" Cooke III, 79, of Hernando, Fla., and Manassas, Va., died June 24, 2012, at home.

Bill was born Jan. 12, 1933, in Pittsburg, Pa., but lived most of his life in Oakton and Manassas, Va. He and his wife, Brenda, moved to Citrus County in 2004. Bill joined the Marine Corps in 1951 to fight in the Korean War, where he was wounded and continued to serve until his discharge in 1954. As a civilian, he went on to get his degree in software engineering and retired from Unisys in Reston, Va., in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; two sons, Tim of Arlington, Va., and Todd of Winchester, Va.; his daughter, Heather Davis of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Danner of Oakton; and seven grandchildren.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., at a date yet to be determined. Further details will be placed online at www.veterans
