Pauline Parker Wetzel Obituary
Pauline Parker Wetzel passed peacefully from Earth to Heaven at Hospice House March 27, 2017.
Pauline was born on November 10, 1919 in Perry Point, Maryland to Dr. Paul Shaw Parker and Pauline Waters Parker.
Mrs. Polly Wetzel graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, York, PA and majored in music at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, PA. She ministered with her husband Rev. Millard Wetzel, Sr. for 42 years in American Baptist Churches in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and retired in 1985 to Florida. Her musical talents led many children to the Lord. Serving as Sunday School Superintendent in the Primary Dept., Director of the Junior and Chapel Choirs and cantatas, youth group leader and author of many original plays.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rev. Millard E. Wetzel, Sr., of 76 1/2 years of marriage and their large loving family. Three daughters Pauletta and her husband Clyde Canfield of Floral City, Kathleen and her husband Larry Dodge of Hernando, Marsha and her husband Henry Kott of Stillwater, NJ and son Millard, Jr. (Buddy) and his wife Leslie of Jacksonville, 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all here on Earth but we rejoice that she is now in the open arms of our Lord and Savior.
The Service of Remembrance will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hooperfuneralhome.com.
