Rita L. Wilkins Obituary
Rita L. Wilkins, 77, of Lecanto, FL passed away peacefully on August 4, 2017.
Rita was born on October 8, 1939 in Philadelphia to Rose and Anthony Cenneno. She spent her childhood between there and NJ. Rita was one of the infamous teen dancers on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in the 1950's.
Before Relocating from Laurel Springs, NJ in 2001, Rita worked in Medical Billing and litigations. She served numerous years in politics as a volunteer and former Laurel Springs Council Woman. She also volunteered as a cub scout den mother. Rita was an extremely avid Elvis fan, attending performances and visiting Graceland.
Rita was predeceased on July 30, 2017 by her husband of 56 years, Clifford Sr. (Jerry).
She is survived by her son Clifford Jr. (Kathy), son Jeffrey (Kelley), son Scott, and son David (Lisa). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren Nicole, CJ, Paige, Katt, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Amanda, Saige, Diamonique, Angelina and Marin. Rita was predeceased by her granddaughter, Chrissy. Rita is also survived by sisters Rose and Anna, brothers Gerald, Edward, Joseph and Rocco. She was predeceased by sisters, Marie, and Josephine and brothers, Anthony and Charles.
Family will receive friends for visitation from 9AM-10:45AM at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto, FL on Friday, August 11, 2017.
Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11AM at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto. Burial will take place at 11AM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Fountains Memorial Garden Cemetery in Homosassa.
