Robert Lee Grumbling, 53, of Apollo Beach, FL, died November 12, 2015. Robert was born October 7, 1962, in Inverness, FL to Ronald S. and Jonnie (Beaty) Grumbling. He was the youngest of five children. He attended Citrus County schools and graduated in 1980.
After high school, he went to technical school and became an architectural engineer of industrial design. He started his career at Florida Steel. During his career he also worked for Gate City Steel where he had the opportunity to be transferred to Mumbai, India and experience the culture and scenes of another country. He enjoyed his bike adventures with friends around the Tampa Bay area.
He is survived by his two sisters, Deborah (Guy) Carpenter of Shady Grove, FL, Linda (Guy) McKettrick of Inverness, FL, and brothers R. Stewart of Corpus Cristi, TX and William(Billy) of Brooksville, FL. He had 3 nieces and 3 nephews along with 4 grandnieces and 4 grandnephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Jonnie Grumbling. A memorial gathering to celebrate Robert's life is scheduled on Saturday Jan. 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Circles Waterfront Restaurant on Tampa Bay in Apollo Beach, FL. Private cremation was under the direction of Merritt Funeral Home and Crematory in Brooksville, FL.
