Robert T. Ochs. Born on March 23, 1930 and passed away on May 31,2017. Robert (Bob) was born at the family home on Maple Street in Bethel CT to Lawrence and Agnes (Kieras) Ochs. and raised in Danbury which was always in his heart. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend extraordinaire. His infectious smile and laugh made him friends everywhere he went.
Bob was pre-deceased by his wife Edna (Pifer) Ochs. He leaves his children Robert (Nancy) Ochs, Mary "Susie"(Mark) Swanson, Catherine (Kim) Ochs, and Betty (Charles) Karas. He leaves 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Vanessa, Robert II (RJ), Liana, Jacob, and Noah, two great grandchildren Drew and Addilyn, sister Catherine Bennett, dear to his heart companion (Girlie) Frances Dewey, and several nieces and nephews.
Bob's career after serving his country during the Korean war was a bread route driver starting in Maryland and then coming to CT and working his way up to Marketing Director at Reymonds and then Nissan bakeries. Bob was also a lifetime member of the Beaverbrook Volunteer Fire Department and one of the original drivers at the Danbury Racearena.
His life will be celebrated at Parsons Memorial Presbyterian Church on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, FL.
