Ronald E. Jones, 61, of Hernando, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Citrus Memorial hospital in Inverness. Ronald was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Maryland, the son of James and Dorothy Jones. He served in the U.S. National Guard. Ronald moved to Hernando in 1981 from Miami. He was a manager at the Kash N' Karry grocery store in Inverness. Friends knew Ron as the "Carpet Man" at the Stokes Flea Market. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Jones of Hernando; sons, Michael Jones and wife Angela of Citrus Springs, and Keith Jones and wife Amanda of Cary, N.C.; brother, Richard Jones and wife Jeanne of Deland; and grandsons, Zachary and Matthew Jones of Citrus Springs.
A memorial service for Mr. Jones will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Heinz Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Kenneth Blyth will preside. Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness.
