Ronald Niebling Obituary
Ronald Anthony Niebling, 61, of Homosassa, Florida passed away May 26, 2016. He was born August 27, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York to Gerard and the late Lillian Niebling. He had moved here 12 years ago from Long Island. He was a retired Contractor and Landscape designer and also a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor.
Ron always said he was a child in a grown man's body enjoying playing pranks and making people laugh. He was an avid fisherman spending almost every weekend out in the Gulf of Mexico with the love of his life, Linda. He took pride in everything he did, always putting 150% of himself into whatever task was at hand.
He loved the Lord first and foremost and everyone knew it, either from the way he lived or because he couldn't help but talk about it.
He helped start a church food pantry and also the Thrift Store at the Sanctuary House in Homosassa. He loved the Florida on a tankful trips his wife planned and also was fortunate to recently check the Grand Canyon off his bucket list.
He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his granddaughter Kayla, his little "Squirt".
He impacted the lives of everyone he met and had a passionate heart always wanting to help others and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Niebling of Homosassa, his father Gerard Niebling of Homosassa, sisters, Linda Lynch of Homosassa and Ginny Niebling of Colorado and 8 grandchildren. A Celebration of his life will take place Monday May 30th 11am at the Homosassa Seventh- Day Adventist Church. Interment with military honors will take place Tuesday 2:30pm at Florida National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home with Crematory, Crystal River.
