Rose M. Novak, 91, of Lecanto, Fla., was called home to Our Lord March 14, 2014, under the care of family and Hospice. She was born Oct. 2, 1922, to Carmine and Ida Limone in Cranford, N.J. Rose move to the area in 1987 from Hopelawn, N.J. She was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Crystal River, a member of Citrus Senior Citizens and a volunteer at Day Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Camilla Cooper; brother, Thomas Limone; great-grandson, Cody Dillon Claytor, infant; first husband, Frank Ruszczyk and her second husband, Frank Novak. Rose is survived by her children, Frank Ruszczyk, Martin Ruszczyk, Carol Ruffino and Mary Anne Sherry; brothers, Dominick Limone and Anthony Limone; five grandchildren, Anthony Ruszczyk, Robert Ruszczyk, Cari Ruszczyk, Joseph Ruffino and Ebony Wilhelm; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Mary Jane Lawton.
In lieu of flowers please make any donations to Hospice House, 3264 W. Audubon Park Path, Lecanto, FL 34461, in Rose's memory. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto. A Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Crystal River. Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto.
