The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Steve A. Brown, age 88, of Hernando, Florida, will be held 4:00 PM, Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
He was born December 1, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts. He moved to Citrus County from Bedford,
MA. in 1988. Mr. Brown was employed by Polaroid for 33 years before retiring as a technical support manager in the Norwood, MA. Camera Division.
He was treasurer of Maynard Country Club in 1982 prior to moving to Florida. He was a charter member of the Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club and founder of the Saturday Men's Golf League. Mr. Brown was a life member of the Elks Inverness Lodge #2522.
He was a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Janet L Brown. Survivors include his "best friend", Linda LaMaire of Beverly Hills, FL, 2 sons, Jeffrey Brown and his wife Mary of Sharon, MA, and Stephen A Brown Jr. and his wife Candice of San Rafael, CA, stepson, David Brown and his wife Linda of Reading, MA, 2 stepdaughters, Sandra Fary and her husband Tom of West Palm Beach FL, and Susan Gibson and her husband Jack of Clearwater, FL and 7 grandchildren.
Those who wish may make Memorial donations to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.

Steve was my Bridge partner for 4 years. He was an awesome Bridge player and partner. I always looked forward to playing Bridge with hi, every Friday. Happy that he is finally without pain and at peace. TTGbt
