Terry Chiodo Obituary
A simple man, Terry Edward Chiodo of Inverness, Florida, born November 28, 1953 in Anchorage, Alaska, lost his battle with cancer on December 21, 2016 at 3:28 AM. Terry was a retired carpenter who loved his family, his "First Lady"...aka a Harley named Bessie, a cat named Baxter and the Tampa Bay Bucs. Terry's hobbies included his amazing green thumb when it came to his roses, disc golf, an old guitar and a bonfire. Terry always had a joke and a child-like spirit when playing with his grandkids...a real life Peter Pan. Terry loved a good party, like the one where he met his "soul mate" on New Year's Eve in 1996. Terry enjoyed road trips to Daytona Beach on his Harley with his wife of 18 years wrapped around him.
Terry, a loving Son, Husband, Father and Grandfather is survived by his wife Cheryl (Williams) Chiodo; daughters: Bridgette Powell and Bryan Porter of Nashville, TN, Christy and Britton Vanness of Connell, WA, Mindy and Todd Parker of Augusta, ME and Heather and Kevin Smith of Inverness. His grandchildren: Kalani, Tuf, Isaac, Belle, Hannah, Briana, Kaitlyn, Sara, George, Dalila and Kevin Jr., his step father, Duane Engelhart of Devine, TX; his sister Jane Booth of Apple Valley, MN; cousin Mike (Deb) Vinson; mother in law, Shirley Williams, sister in law, Sandra (Lawson) Brooks. Terry was preceded in death by his Mother, Marylyn Engelhart of Texas and Father, Edward Chiodo of California; Aunt & Uncle, John and Betty Vinson; Grandparents, Ona and Ralph Brown.
Funeral services for Terry will be held on Tuesday, December 27th at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464
