Mr. Thomas R. Gransbury Obituary
The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Thomas R. Gransbury, age 84, of Inverness, Florida, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Mr. Larry Hartman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the chapel.
Mr. Gransbury was born February 13, 1932 in Binghamton, NY, son of the late Chauncey and Helen (Baker) Gransbury. He died June 23, 2016 in Lecanto, FL. Mr. Gransbury was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing so much he married his wife of 39 years at Happy's Bait and Tackle, loved baking his famous pumpkin bread for friends and family and loved watching Rays baseball. He was Christian by Faith.
Mr. Gransbury was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Gransbury and his wife Donna, and 2 brothers-in-law, Mike Bailey and Bob Kimmey. Survivors include his wife, Judy Gransbury of Inverness, FL, daughter, Penney (Jason) Haufler of Homosassa, daughter, Leslie (Chris) Kingree of Inverness, 4 stepdaughters, Karen (John) Donahue, Cheryl (Fred Windle) Dinan, Kelly Kruis, and Georgetta (William) Hudson, and his brother, Robert (Nikki) Gransbury. 2 Sisters, Bernadette Greensburg Bailey and Rebecca Kimmey, 12 grandchildren, Jayson Haufler, Breanna Haufler, Christopher Kingree, Jennifer Baker, Chris Baker, Shawn Baker, Calvin Windle, Frederick Windle, Patrick Kruis, John Michael Simmons, Cody Simmons and Brandon Williams and a great grandchild Kayson Kruis.
