Having retired from teaching, she became a travel agent, both in Grosse Pointe and Beverly Hills, FL, as she had been a world traveler for fifty years.
She and her husband John Buelke donated funds for construction of the Citrus Springs Memorial Library, and presented it to the community in January 1987. She has served as President of the Library Association for many years.
Following cremation, her remains will be interred in Wynooski Cemetery, Plymouth, WI, John Buelke's home town, where he was interred after his death in 2007.
