Virginia Woods, age 74 of Crystal River, Fl passed away Tuesday morning May 3. She was born on December 21, 1941 in Jacksonville, Florida to Harold and Helen ( Alexander) Fowler. She lived her entire life in Citrus County, graduating from Citrus High then earning a teaching degree from the University of Florida. Virginia enjoyed leading the History Department at Crystal River High School for over 13 years. While teaching she earned her Masters Degree from Rollins College enabling her to become a Guidance counselor at Lecanto Middle School. She enjoyed over 18 years at Lecanto Middle School where she helped to positively influence many lives.
Virginia was a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church and was an active choir member. She was a loving wife and devoted partner to her husband Danny for over 56 years. Virginia was a devoted mother to Amy and David (Kim) and dedicated grandmother to Jake, Kirk, and Mark Endsley and Amanda Woods. Virginia will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 7, 11:00 a.m. at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church 4221 W Gulf to Lake Hwy., Lecanto 34461. In Lieu of Flowers, please make donations to Hospice House 3350 W Audubon Park Path, Lecanto, Fl 34461.
