Walton W. "Mickey" Cochran, 76, went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 30, 2012. Mickey was born June 9, 1936, in Crossville, Ga., to the late Arthur and Grace Cochran. His family moved to Alabama when he was an infant and then relocated to Fort Pierce, Fla., in 1948. He served our country in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. Mickey was employed by Publix Supermarket for more than 35 years as a store manager. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed serving in many of the church offices and ministries at Hernando United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Janice Cochran, Inverness; sons, Michael and Rodney Cochran, both of Inverness, and Tommy (Linda) Cochran, Hawthorne, Fla.; one grandson, Michael Cochran Jr.; and a sister, June (Donald) Painter, Crossville, Ala. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth, and sister, Kathleen.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Hernando United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Carris officiating. Donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464; Florida United Methodist Children's Home; or Hernando United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
